2009-03-01 The Continuing Story of our Internet Marketer
After doing the same thing over and over again our fearless marketer finally came to the conclusion that doing all this over and over was insane. What he desperately needed was some truth about what works and what does not.
While surfing he came across a splash page advertising free internet marketing courses.
He thought to himself, "Wonder what this really costs, what do you get for free that is worth anything?" Then he remembered spending hundreds of dollars for videos, auto-responders, hosting with no support, etc. etc.
He thought to himself "Maybe free may be ok, what do I have to lose?" He filled out the information on the splash page and was sent to a site called Moneylegs. He read over the site and joined.
Once he had confirmed his membership, he started looking over the site. He found the section about conferences and training, then he attended a Sunday night conference and felt like he had come home.
Friendly people sharing their success tips, encouraging him, and best of all not asking for any money. How refreshing. Our fearless marketer began attending more conferences and training sessions over the next several weeks.
He then broke it all down for himself into 3 simple steps. Next week 3 steps to success.
2009-02-18 So You Want to be an Internet Marketer
So You Want to be an Internet Marketer
So you have decided you want to be an internet marketer. You've seen the ads on TV for people making 5-10 thousand a month from the comfort of their homes. Basking by the swimming pool outside of their palatial estate with a bright sun shining down on their success. Perhaps you've seen similar ads while surfing or searching the net. You send for information or signup for the program and go to sleep that night dreaming of the success and money that will soon be yours with all of the people above you helping you to build your business. Dreams of dollar bills floating down from the heavens penetrate your sleep. Ahh what a wonderful life! You wake up excited thinking about your dreams. You go to your Just Over Broke saying to yourself, "I'll soon be telling my boss where to take his job! I'm going to be rich in this internet marketing program" "Free riches for all". You can hardly concentrate on your job for you are thinking of the riches promised you that your sponsor was going to help you gain. You get home and eat and get on the computer and check your email and PayPal account looking for the money your sponsor made for you while you were at work. After all you were promised massive spillover and riches beyond compare. Nothing, no emails, no PayPal notifications. You email your sponsor asking why you have made no money. You hear nothing for a couple of days. Then you get another series of emails saying you need to get this autoresponder program, your own website, a splash page maker and information that you are supposed to share with your family and friends. So you spend more money; $20 for an autoresponder, $20 for hosting, $15 for a splash page maker, and then wonder how you are supposed to make them all work. You ask your sponsor and he says look at the instructions. Oh, and if you want training, he has a series of videos you can download for $297 that will guarantee you success if you follow them. So you spend the money and discover that they are complicated and hard to understand. All this html stuff , meta tags, keywords etc. Again you contact your sponsor and he says " it simple just follow instructions" and then hangs up on you. So you try again and start thinking I must really be a dummie. Meanwhile you've contacted your family and friends and are met with comments, such as "what a fool you are you fell for that hype, or how much have you made, or when you start making money let me know". You keep trying and trying and nothing happens, you finally got a website up and wonder why you're not getting any traffic, sales or signups. You contact your sponsor again via email and it bounces back to you, alarmed you try and login to your affiliate site, only to discover that this domain is not available. Disgusted you say to yourself, what a fool I am. I'll not fall for those scams again. A few months later you get an email from your old sponsor who tells you the company took off with everyone's money but he has a sure fire program that just started and thousands are being made by those getting in now. You think to yourself, well I've got to make up my losses, let me try this again. And again and again and again ... Solutions in next article.
2009-01-21 Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow Well we are well into the New Year and I thought I'd take some time to finally write this article. The title probably tells you where I am going with this. The information here is written for internet and network marketers. However, this really applies to any area of your life. You are where you are today, because of what you did yesterday. Today will determine where you are tomorrow. Simply concepts? Yes. Do we seriously try to apply these priciples in our lives? Only you can answer that question. Were you floudering around on the net last year? (Yesterday) Are you now wondering why you are not successful now? (Today) Where will you be next year? (Tomorrow) or Last year did you set goals with steps to achieve them? (Yesterday) Are you making more now than last year? (Today) Will you continue what worked to acheive more success next year? (Tomorrow) The choices are yours. Choose Wisely !

2008-12-06 Diego a Love Story
This story begin 6 years ago in the spring of 2002.
We first meet Ferninand (Diego) at a bird show in Mid-Pennsylvania. My wife, Teresa fell in love with him and really wanted to buy him. The price was $500 which was more than our car payment that was due. So practicality won over emotion and we did not buy the bird. About 6 weeks later at a bird show in Lancaster, PA. We again saw Ferninand, who by the way, is a blued headed Pionus. We knew then that we were meant to be owned by Ferninand. We made payment arrangements and took him home. On the way we and our friends, Iris and Miguel stopped at a restaurant and of course took the bird in with us. I think it was at the restaurant we decided to rename Ferninand Diego.
Deigo was supposed to be Teresa's bird. I had recently purchaged a new born Peach Front Conure, who we had not brought home yet from the breeder. I named him Kiwi, when I bought him home. Anyway, Diego soon chose me to be his favorite human and I grew to love him very much.
2008-12-04 Effective Surfing
How effective is your surfing the traffic exchanges? Do you spend hour after hour clicking without getting results? Do you scatter your efforts promoting multiple programs? Would you like to achieve more results for your efforts? Do you join each new traffic exchange?
Many of you can relate to what is written above. I know early on in my experiences with traffic exchanges that I had many of the above thoughts.
Several points stand out. Promoting many different offers is not going to work. There is no way you can surf enough in a limited amount of time to effectively get any results from that approach. Of course, there are exceptions if you surf 15-18 hours a day. Most of us can only surf an hour or two per day. So promote one or maybe two offers.
Try not to advertise a cookie cutter affiliate site or program. How many times a day do you see the same old pages on the net and almost go to sleep? Make your offer stand out, use a splash page, (SEO Squid has a great splash page maker as a benefit of membership) . Brand yourself and whenever possible use a picture of yourself on the splash page.
Focus you efforts on perhaps 5 or 6 exchanges for each surfing session, I recommend Mozilla Firefox as the best browser for tabbed surfing. Surf these for at least an hour, then go on to your next group of exchanges. Track your results to determine which exchanges work for you over at least a month of time.
For more information attend one of the classes on traffic and leads at one of the Moneylegs training conferences.

2008-08-01 Are You On Track for 2008?
I know it's been a long time since my last update. Have been dealing with some health issues with my wife, Teresa. She is out of hospital and seemingly doing ok.
Just a couple of quick thoughts and updates. 1. Contrary to popular belief, internet marketing does not seriously decline during the summer months. Sure some people take vacations, but whatever they miss doing while on vacation probably recharges them so they are more productive when they return. Point take the time to be good to yourself, enjoy your family, and be revitalized for the coming season. Use your time to reflect on where you started this year, where you are now, and where you are headed for the remainder of this year. Are you on track?
2. I urge each of you to attend some of the upcoming conferences. They are listed on your Moneylegs site under conferences. If you're not a member then join for free here: http://www.moneylegs.com/cgi-bin/refer.cgi?1002
3. Are you aware of the credit bank at Moneylegs? If not login and check it out, you will be pleasantly surprised at what you will find. If not a member join now: http://www.moneylegs.com/cgi-bin/refer.cgi?1002
Happy Surfing and See you at a Conference.
